Celebrate with Brumos Racing!
The 2011 season was one of transition for the Brumos crew. At January’s Rolex 24 At Daytona, a brand new No. 59 was introduced to competition – a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup wearing Brumos’ traditional red-and-blue sweeps. After eight years campaigning Porsche-Powered Rileys in Grand-Am’s Daytona Prototype class, the team had returned to its roots – GT racing. And despite significant challenges involved with the transition, it was a season of great success. Only eight months after that Daytona debut, Brumos Racing was crowned Grand-Am Rolex Series GT Champions. It was an amazing result given the quality of competition in the class.
“Brumos Racing 2011: Tradition, Commitment, Success” commemorates the achievements of the team. All the highs and lows of 2011 are covered across 150 pages in this 11”x17” hardbound coffee-table book. From gearbox and setup struggles at Homestead to exultation at The Six Hours of The Glen, from a broken alternator belt at New Jersey to an epic charge through the field at Mid-Ohio, the stories are weaved chronologically and are punctuated by nearly 300 photos from tracks, pits and paddocks across North America.

Dignity U Wear Partners with The Brumos Companies and Jacksonville Jaguars to Keep Children Warm
Employees and Players to Distribute Clothing at Two Local Schools on November 8
Jacksonville, FL (October 24, 2011) — Dignity U Wear (Dignity) is on a mission to provide new coats, gloves, scarves and hats to 1,500 local school children in need for the upcoming winter months. Local supporters have joined Dignity to make their One Jacket program a success, including The Brumos Companies as the lead sponsor for the One Jacket program. The Brumos Companies and Jacksonville Jaguar Quarterback Blaine Gabbert, will roll into two Jacksonville public schools on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 to deliver new clothes and hope.
Timucuan Elementary School will open their doors to receive warm clothing for students at 9 a.m. The distribution at Woodland Acres Elementary School will take place at 11 a.m, with the support of Communities in Schools, www.cisjax.org, Jacksonville’s leading drop-out prevention program. High performing student ambassadors at both schools will be on-site to meet the new starting quarterback.
“1 in every 5 children in the United States are living in poverty,” says Bob Bryan, president of Dignity U Wear. “Their families cannot afford even the basic necessities. Jacksonville children are not immune to this statistic. We are committed to not only providing clothes for the cold months ahead, but also providing dignity and hope for children in our community.”
“The Brumos Companies are honored to partner with Dignity U Wear and the Jacksonville Jaguars. With the Brumos initiative in 2011 to focus on health and education in our community, a partnership with DUW is a natural choice”, states Charlie Tomm, President and CEO for the Brumos Companies. “This project will provide much needed warm clothing to deserving children in Northeast Florida. The Brumos Companies are committed to doing our part to improve the lives of children and families in our community and guiding them to a better and warmer future.”
Dignity U Wear believes that all children deserve the comfort and security of having their basic needs met. With the cold winter approaching, these children need the appropriate winter gear that will give them the strength and hope to overcome the challenges they face. One Jacket provides more than just clothing. It provides the gift of a warmer tomorrow.
The Brumos Companies, with auto dealerships for Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Smart Cars, is sponsoring the distributions.
